NSTA Theatre Rep
Visit schools across the UK and internationally to watch outstanding productions. Our NSTA Theatre Reps act as our eyes and ears, and the role is a hugely valuable, enjoyable and rewarding experience. Many of our reps say there is no better CPD for a drama teacher than watching other school productions and learning from one another.
NSTA Diploma Assessor
The NSTA Theatre Diploma recognises commitment to school performing arts beyond traditional formal qualifications, which are often weighted towards theory and administration. Our Diploma offers pupils a valuable opportunity to showcase their contribution to school theatre over time.
The role of the Assessor is to watch 15-minute video submissions and assess whether candidates meet the standard required to be awarded the Diploma, or whether further development is needed before it can be awarded. It is possible, and recommended, to be both an NSTA Theatre Rep and a Diploma Assessor.

Awards Night Volunteers
Volunteers (aged 16–19) support the awards during the day and evening. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in event management, school theatre and award ceremonies.
Please note that volunteers are not guaranteed tickets for the awards themselves and may be based backstage. However, they will see rehearsals and be a core part of the day.
If you are interested, please send your CV to nsta@nstawards.com with a short introductory email. A personal statement or formal letter is not required. If you do not yet have work experience or a CV, please provide a letter of recommendation from your Head of Drama or Director of Drama at your current school, college or university.
Freelance Sales & Sponsorship Agent
(100% commission based with no base salary)
This role is ideal for someone working from home or as a digital nomad.
The NSTA is committed to giving back to the arts in schools. While we are not a charity and are not structured as a non-profit organisation, we currently operate without generating a profit and have a long-term aim to fund school arts projects.
To support this work, we are seeking freelance sales and sponsorship agents to help raise income by securing sponsorship, selling programme advertising space, and supporting merchandise sales and other fundraising opportunities.
If you would like more information, please email us and we will send you an Agent specification.
