NSTA Funds

The NSTAs Fund

The National School Theatre Awards (NSTAs) celebrates the incredible talent and hard work happening in school drama departments across the UK. We’re here to shine a light on creative young people and the teachers who support them.

While we are not a charity, and not structured as a non-profit organisation, we currently operate without making a profit. The NSTAs is run largely by volunteers, and our focus is on celebrating schools. Alongside the awards, we have created the NSTAs Fund, a separate fund designed to give back to schools and support arts education directly.

What We Aim to Offer

Once the fund reaches a sustainable level, we plan to:

We know that school drama is often underfunded, and we want to play a part in changing that. The NSTAs Fund is our way of giving back in a practical, focussed and impactful way.

What Is the NSTAs Fund?

The NSTAs Fund is a new initiative, and currently at the very beginning of its journey. There is no funding available yet, but we are laying the groundwork to build it through future fundraising, donations and sponsorship.

It is separate from the budget that runs the awards programme. Once the fund begins to grow, it will be used solely to support schools and pupils with creative opportunities and improved access to the arts.

What Happens Next

The fund is still in its early stages, and there is currently no financial support available. But our intention is clear. As the NSTAs grows, so will the fund. When we reach a point where we can offer meaningful support, we will open applications for schools to request workshops, resources or funding.
